Who are we?
Entering our 37th season, the Columbus Men's Baseball League is an amateur adult baseball league in the Columbus, Ohio area that gives adults a chance to continue playing competitive baseball.
With 19 total teams within 3 age divisions (25+, 35+, 45+), the CMBL is a wood bat league that features teams of all talent levels. Games are played on local High School fields. Check out our teams, stats, and click on 'Join Us' above if you want to get back on the diamond!
Our league was started in 1988 by Rod Davis, who served as president through 1991. Keith Hausler was then president for two seasons before Jim Durham took over in 1993, where he served until 2012. Jim then handed the league off to Rick Fryman, who was president from 2012 until his unexpected and unfortunate passing in 2024. Mike Gross was then elected as president in 2025 and is working to continue to grow each division and is focused on creating a fun but competitive culture.

I have been a member of the CMBL since 2016 and currently serve as League President. When I joined the league, it was as a member of the Spiders, who are now the Angels. I also serve as manager of the Angels and have been taking a team to participate in the MSBL World Series in Arizona every year since 2021. Todd Bollinger - Treasurer
I have played in the CMBL since 1998. The competitive nature of the league and high level of play makes playing baseball at our ages as fun and rewarding as when we were young. I come back each year to enjoy the friendships on my own team as well as within the league and enjoy Sundays in the sun playing a game I have loved for as long as I can remember.

Jon Thomas (JT) - Vice President of Tech / Recruiting
I have been a member of the CMBL since 2008 when I joined with the Cardinals. I played/managed with the Columbus Spiders for 13 seasons (25+ and 35+) before joining the Angels in 2023. I love playing in National Tournaments each fall in Arizona / Florida and have been traveling to play in these competitive tournaments since 2019. I currently manage the league website and am in charge of recruiting and organizing the league workout each year when we add new players to teams.
